What fictional character do you relate to most and why?
Definitely Violet Baudelaire (in 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'). She's so intelligent, courageous, and simply classic.
Of course, unlike her, I'm not, as Lemony Snicket says, 'reasonably attractive' or genius. God knows how I'm way too silly and ridiculous to be compared with her^^. But there's something in her courage and the way she realizes her distinctiveness that reminds me so much of myself. One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Violet builds a sanctuary for her siblings, particularly desperate Klaus, her younger brother. She's just so sweet and kind. I love my siblings, too. Hehe^^. In fact, I'm the only one in my family who'd hold my sisters and mother or at least sit near them when they cry (my father rarely cries).
I always want to read the book but so sad I don't think I can find the series in Indonesia. I've watched the movie several times that I've even memorized most dialog and narration in it. When it comes to describe Violet, Snicket says (if I don't mishear): "Violet Baudelaire, one of the finest fourteen-year-old inventors in the world. Anyone who knew Violet could tell she was inventing when her long hair was tied up in a ribbon. ..In the world of abandoned items and discharged materials, Violet knew there's always something...." Inspired by her, sometimes I murmur "there's always something" whenever I'm in a hectic situation.
Plus, I like her hairdo very much. I really like the way she arranges the three strands of braided hair at the right side of her head.
What do you do EVERY day to take care of the earth's environment? What could you do more of?
I ride on my bicycle everyday and try to use water and electricity efficiently. I also try to persuade people in my neighborhood not to dispose their garbage in the river but it's not easy because the garbage truck doesn't reach our place and the river just seems to be the most reasonable and reachable place to throw away everything.
What would you like to do more of?
Interacting with a lot more people regardless of their race, culture, belief, political affiliation, and the like. And, well, reading. Several days ago I downloaded many e-books. I've got several Freud, Nietzsche, Tagore, and children (??) fictions such as: The Secret Garden, The Little Prince, etc. Can't wait to devour all of 'em. I'm currently reading Tagore's Fruit Gathering. I think it's magnificent and inspiring. I'll write about it later.
Still, I'm wondering if it's against the copyright law. Is it?
What do you love about where you live?

The Neighborhood. There's not much to tell about the view, it's just an ordinary urban area in Jogja with densed population consisting mainly of lower-class people. They live in small rent houses. Sometimes several families share the same roof. Some families live nearby a highly polluted river. But the togetherness is great. Whenever it rains and I'm not at home, my neighbors always try to save whatever I dry on the clothesline. There's always something warm in the way they greet me.
What have you lost that you wish you still had?

That secret poetic moment when I was an innocent child, the kind of questions I asked without really expressing them verbally, the feeling that God loved me even when I did mistakes, the thought I perceived freely without being interfered by outer subjects that intruded me. Such a memory. Growing up makes it blur gradually.
What is your "role" in your family?
I'm a good listener to everyone in my home.
What talent do you have that you wish more people would recognize?
Alright. It's not really a talent and I know many people can do it. But I always feel cool every time I do it.
I like riding on my bicycle and I often spread both my hands and pretend I'm a bird flying. Sometimes I sing Joan Baez' "Donna Donna" when I do it. Whoa... I feel so free...
What have you tried in life that you just weren't very good at?
Writing. I love writing. But I keep most of my writings for myself in a journal. I've written journal since I was in Junior High School.
I always want to be a short story writer but most of my stories remain unfinished T_T. I just don't have guts to finish and send them to a magazine.
But I'm still trying ^^.......
